WASHINGTON COUNTY – A woman was transported to the hospital Friday evening after her vehicle rolled on Old Highway 91.

Around 6:42 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s deputies were alerted to a single-vehicle rollover accident on Old Highway 91 east of the gas station on the Shivwits Reservation, sheriff’s Sgt. David Crouse said.

When deputies arrived at the scene they found a 2005 Saturn Vue that had left the roadway and rolled down an embankment and came to a stop on its roof.

The driver of the SUV, a woman, was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George by ambulance, Crouse said. He was unable to confirm the woman’s medical status or the extent of any injuries as of 9:15 p.m.

The cause of the accident is unknown and is currently under investigation. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
