ENTERPRISE — With a slim halftime lead over Enterprise at halftime, Snow Canyon decided to come out of the locker room and play extreme defense.
It worked, with the Warriors outscoring the Wolves 19-3 in the third quarter en route to a 70-48 win Wednesday at Enterprise High School.
Hunter Barney had his best game as a Warrior, scoring 16 points and dishing out three assists, with twin brother Caeden Barney racking up a nice line of 6 points, 4 assists, 3 steals and 3 rebounds. Kobe Tupu also helped the cause with 12 points and seven boards. SC had 17 assists in the game.
The game was tied at 18-18 after one quarter, with Snow Canyon pulling ahead by seven by halftime at 34-27. But the second-half advantage of 36-21 spelled doom for the Wolves, who dropped to 0-6 on the season, despite 11 points from Clay Whitman.
It’s the first win of the year for the Warriors, who are 1-3 now after losses to Canyon View, Brighton and Juan Diego, all on the road. Snow Canyon plays its fifth straight road game Friday night at Richfield. The Warriors first true home game is in mid-January when region gets going.
