News Short: Lane change causes rollover on Red Cliffs Drive

ST. GEORGE — A woman driving on Red Cliffs Drive rolled her vehicle after trying to change lanes.

The accident occurred at about 8:30 p.m., St. George Police Sgt. Rich Triplett said, near the intersection of Red Cliffs Drive and 2450 East.

The white passenger car, driven by a woman in her 20s, was traveling eastbound on Red Cliffs Drive and a silver Toyota SUV was in the right lane.

“Basically the white passenger car tried to turn into the inside lane, and collided with the other vehicle causing the white passenger car to roll over,” Triplett said. The white car hit the silver Toyota, which was only slightly damaged.

Alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the accident, Triplett said.

“She is suspected to be impaired,” he said.

No one was injured in the accident. Units from the St. George Police Department and the St. George Fire Department responded to the accident.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
