ST. GEORGE — Images of a man involved in an alleged armed robbery of a Pizza Hut Tuesday have been released to the public by the police, who are asking for help identifying the suspect.
According to an accompanying press release, a man wearing a red hoodie and carrying a handgun approached an employee of the Pizza Hut on Bluff Street in St. George around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday. The employee had been closing up the restaurant at the time and was taken back inside by the suspect who demanded money.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male of average build, standing around 5 feet 10 inches and wearing the aforementioned red hoodie with a hat underneath. He is also described as having long blond hair and possible facial hair. He also wore a pair of khaki-cargo shorts and appears to have some kind of tattoo on his right calf, according to St. George Police.
“The suspect left the restaurant carrying several cash register drawers and headed northeast across Bluff Street,” police said in Wednesday’s press release.
The employee was unharmed and called police following the incident.
Officers arrived at the scene and began circulating and canvassing the area, Sgt. Sam Despain said.
While they were unable to locate the suspect, they discovered a trail of coins leading north and east from the Pizza Hut.
The coin trail ended with a penny located on the stairs of America’s Best Value on Bluff Street, Despain said.
Anyone with any information regarding the identity of this suspect, or information about the case in general, is asked to contact Detective Miles at 435-627-4321.

can these calves be identified? Please call police if you know where these legs are.
That was my first thought! On the other hand, that’s probably a pretty unique hoodie.
