May 10, 1979 – November 9, 2015
Our dear daughter, sister, aunt and friend Camille Kemp, 36, died peacefully in her sleep November 9, 2015. Camille was born May 10, 1979, in St. George, Utah, to Gregory and Beverly Racker Kemp. She graduated from Dixie High School and Dixie State College.
Most of us know that Camille was intelligent and had a sharp wit. She was tenacious and could make almost anything happen. She was happiest skating in roller derbies with her “derby girls”. She liked “trash candy” and Diet Coke. Camille LOVED her sweet dog Cecilia. We also know that she struggled with physical and emotional pain throughout most of her life.
What most people don’t know is that she was a brilliant problem solver. She was talented with numbers. She danced and sang shamelessly to the most ridiculous hip-hop music. She was a loyal friend. Camille had an unsurpassed compassion and understanding for those that could not speak for themselves, both people and animals.
We miss and love her so very much, and we pray that she is finally at peace. Families are forever.
She is survived by her parents, Beverly Racker Wilkinson of Laie, Hawaii; Greg and Arlynn Kemp of Santa Clara, Utah; brothers Steven (Kamari) Kemp of St. George, Utah; Brian Kemp of Las Vegas, Nevada; Danny Kemp of St. George, Utah; Adam Kemp of Guayaquil, Ecuador; sisters Anna (Rob) Foster of Heber City, Utah; Allison (Spencer) Davis of Sandy, Utah; Sarah Kemp of Santa Clara, Utah; 19 nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Cecilia.
