larson john 001March 26, 1930 – November 2, 2015

Bert Larson , 85, passed away on Nov. 2, 2015. After having his chemo therapy treatment he was glad to go home so he could rest, but on the way home he had an aneurysm and died shortly after at the hospital with his loving family by his side.

Bert was born March 26, 1930, in Moroni, Utah, to Harris B. Larson and Mae Reusch. He lived in Moroni most of his life and married LaJune Morley in 1951 in the Manti LDS Temple.

Bert’s life was full of fun and laughter and a wonderful example of the highest level of love and devotion to his family. He loved his Heavenly Father and was a true and faithful member. He married LaJune, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life. They have been married for 64 years. He was a proud father of four children; Randy Bert, JulieAnn, Cydnee and Bradford, and as much as he loved his kids, his grandchildren was the apple of his eye.

Bert was an avid sports fan. He started playing baseball at a very young age. He was a very good left handed pitcher and he never quit until about 50 years old. He then followed 3 of his grandsons who played baseball, he went to every game they played and supported them 100% in state and out of state, he loved it. He also loved the Jazz.

It was easy for Bert to share and give to others because he really believed that “inasmuch as you have done it unto the best of these, you have done unto me.” Bert was a real hard worker, never had a sick day. He taught his kids to be responsible, be hard workers and most of all respect their elders, their mom and always be polite. His compassion and generosity was obvious to those who knew and loved him. He was a friend to everybody. Once a friend always a friend.

Bert was a very patriotic person, he loved this country and fought for it and us. Bert looked forward to Sunday at 5:00, his joy was having all the kids and grandkids come to play games. He always put their needs and interests before himself. He will be missed every minute of every day and forever in our hearts.

He is proceeded in death by his father, mother, brother and son. He is survived by his wife; LaJune, children; JulieAnn Reber, Cyd (Tracy) Hoskins, Brad (Debbie) Larson, 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and his siblings; Vonda (Dean) Larson, Connie (Vaughn) Thomas, Barbara Barton, Glenna Charles Riddle, Patsy Cox, Paul (Kathy) Larson.
