Bytheway, RuthDecember 29, 1921 – October 26, 2015

Ruth Larsen Bytheway, 93, passed away on Oct. 26, 2015, in St. George, Utah. She was born Dec. 29, 1921, in Spanish Fork, Utah, to John Arthur Larsen and Hazel Etta Chryst Larsen. She married Ralph Benjamin Bytheway. They were married in the SLC Temple on Jan 20, 1943.

Ruth was raised in the rural setting of Spanish Fork, Utah. Her father never owned a car — instead they used a horse and buggy. Ruth graduated high school from Spanish Fork High School. She worked professionally as a secretary, and she was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ruth was an excellent cook and with a strong sense of family. We all enjoyed her monthly dinners cooked with love. Ruth had a special sense of humor and an unbounded love for her family!

She is survived by her children, Steven Bytheway (Laraine), Linda Carroll, Diane Burton (David), Karen Bickerstaff (Jim) and Scott Bytheway (Debi); 20 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, and two grandsons, Russell Bitton and Taylor Bytheway.
