Police seek to return stolen items to rightful owners

ST. GEORGE – If you were the victim of a burglary between October 2013 and January 2014, police say there is a possibility your property is being stored at the St. George Police Department and is available for you to recover.

A series of burglaries was solved in early 2014 and, through the course of an investigation, detectives were led to a storage shed full of property. It is believed the items were stolen during that string of burglaries and possibly others, according to a media statement issued by the St. George Police Department Monday afternoon.

Police said they have been unable to identify the rightful owners of the various items and have not been contacted by potential theft victims trying to recover property matching the items being held.

Among some of the stolen items are:

Toolbox                       Subwoofer                       Remote control

TV mount                    Stereo                              End table

If you believe any of the items listed above may have been stolen from you during the specified time frame, you are encouraged to contact St. George Police Detective Adam Olmstead at 435-627-4326.

Those wanting to make a claim will need to provide a detailed description of the items they are looking to recover.

“We are hoping that this post will help connect some of the property with their owners rather than having to dispose of the items,” the statement said.
