Advisory (updated 5 p.m.): Zion-Mount Carmel Highway in Zion National Park between Canyon Junction and the east entrance of the park closed Wednesday due to a major rockfall and will remain closed to through traffic through the weekend. A section of the highway between the East Entrance and the Zion Mt. Carmel Tunnel will reopen Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. but only for passenger cars as there is not sufficient turnaround space for larger vehicles.
