Flash Flood Warning issued for Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY — The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a flash flood warning for east-central Washington County effective until 8 p.m. Monday.

At 5:06 p.m., Doppler Radar indicated a thunderstorm producing heavy rain over the North Creek drainage of Zion National Park.

Flooding is occurring in locations on the east and southeast parts of Zion National Park. This warning addresses new thunderstorms forming over drainages that flow southwest toward the town of Virgin.

LaVerkin, Toquerville and Virgin
