SANTA CLARA — One motorist was taken to the hospital after a collision at the intersection of Santa Clara Drive and Canyon View Drive Sunday morning overturned his truck.
While airbags deployed in both vehicles, no serious injuries were reported by occupants of either vehicle. Nevertheless, the driver of the rolled pickup was taken by ambulance to Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George for further examination.
The two occupants of the other truck involved in the crash were treated at the scene and released.
All occupants of both vehicles were wearing their seat belts, Santa Clara Fire Chief Dan Nelson said. Nelson added that one of the two trucks involved ran the red light at the intersection but it is unclear at this time which driver is at fault.
As this report is published, the incident is under investigation.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
