GRAND CANYON, Ariz. — At approximately 5 p.m. Friday, the Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center received a satellite phone call reporting that a man had fallen to his death while hiking the Fence Fault Route near Colorado River Mile 29 in Grand Canyon National Park.
The hiker has been identified as Daniel Sarr, 51, of Flagstaff.
An investigation is being conducted by the National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner.
No further information is available at the time of this publication.
