CEDAR CITY – Police located and apprehended three Las Vegas men Monday morning believed to be responsible for the shooting that occurred Thursday evening at the Cedar City Wal-Mart, the Cedar City Police Department said Monday.
Davion Fletcher, 18, Bryant Lewis, 21, and Ivan Favila, 18, were arrested and charged with first-degree felony aggravated robbery; second-degree felony theft of a firearm; and two third-degree felonies for aggravated assault and discharge of a firearm.
At approximately 6:20 p.m. Thursday, Cedar City Police and Utah Highway Patrol responded to reports of an attempted armed robbery with shots fired in the parking lot of Wal-Mart in Cedar City.
A man and woman told police they were parked in their vehicle in the parking lot when a black man entered the backseat of their vehicle, displayed a gun and demanded money.
“The (alleged) victim quickly exited the vehicle and began calling for help,” police said. “The suspect exited the (alleged) victim’s vehicle and joined at least one other black male in fleeing. The two suspects fled the area in a silver or gray, smaller passenger car.”
The alleged victims got back into their vehicle, and, moments later, the suspects returned.
“As the vehicles passed one another in the parking lot, at least one shot was fired from the suspect vehicle,” police said.
A bullet struck the man and woman’s vehicle, but they were not injured. The suspects then fled the scene.
The man and woman initially told investigators they did not know the suspects. However, during the course of the investigation, it was found that they had arranged to meet the suspects at Wal-Mart, police said Monday, but did not specify a reason for the meeting.
Detectives began receiving information and tips from the public Friday morning regarding the identity of possible suspects involved in the shooting.
Using information gathered from those leads and an eyewitness photo line-up, investigators were able to identify three suspects. Detectives were unable to locate the men, police said, and believed they had left town for the weekend.
At 9 a.m. Monday, the suspects were located in their vehicle near 200 W. Center Street in Cedar City. Police stopped the vehicle and Fletcher, Lewis, and Favila were taken into custody.
Following interviews with detectives, the three men were booked into the Iron County Jail.
Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

*they not that
It would have to be qualuides, oh wait, that was Bill Cosby’s drug of choice to rape women. Bill Cosby is black, there I go stereotyping….
there was a time when bill cosby was thought of as the most trustworthy black man in america… that’s scary… and i aint even racist…
Your ain’t a racist Fun Bag. Repeat after me– Fun Bag is not a racist. Placing folks in a stereotype box or on a cereal box (in Bruce Jenner’s case), doesn’t make them any less trustworthy or beautiful. Just a little oversexed maybe?. (You can even put Bill Clinton’s name in the mix too).
A black guy that did commercials for Jello can’t be all that bad.. oops is that stereotyping. LOL.!
Well done, CCPD. You are at your usual level of excellent law enforcement.
That Ivan kid looks entirely too happy to be booked into jail. He must be hungry or need a shower.
So are they from Vegas or from Cedar? I’m confused.
