Pediatrician, oncologist, neurologist join practices in Southern Utah

SOUTHERN UTAH — Three doctors have joined the Intermountain clinic network, including oncologist and hematologist Ryan Wilcox, neurologist Alan Sanderson and pediatrician Brendon Holmes. Wilcox has started practicing in St. George, while Sanderson is in Cedar City and Holmes in Hurricane.

Wilcox is now seeing patients as an oncologist/hematologist at Intermountain Southwest Regional Cancer Clinic located at 544 S. 400 East in St. George.

Originally from Salt Lake City, Wilcox earned his bachelor’s degree from Utah State University and his medical degree from University of Utah School of Medicine. He then completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Utah, followed by a hematology/oncology fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. As an oncologist, Wilcox works to diagnose, care for and treat adult patients with all types of cancer and blood borne malignancies, as well as benign hematologic conditions.

Alan Sanderson

Sanderson is now seeing patients as a neurologist at Intermountain Cedar City Clinic located at 1303 N. Main in Cedar City.

A Utah native, Sanderson earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and a medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. He further completed an internal medicine internship, neurology residency and neuromuscular fellowship at The Ohio State University Medical Center.

He has presented and published on a number of neurology related topics. In his spare time, he enjoys running and hiking in the outdoors, music and spending time with his wife and children. Sanderson and his family are pleased to call Cedar City their home.

Brendon Holmes

Holmes is now seeing patients as a pediatrician at Intermountain Hurricane Valley Clinic located at 75 W. 2260 North in Hurricane.

Originally from Norco, California, Holmes received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He completed a pediatric residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Holmes’ hobbies range from auto mechanics and home repairs to reading, mountain biking, surfing and playing volleyball. He and his wife, Stephanie, said they are excited to raise their family in Southern Utah.
