ST. GEORGE — Authorities have released the name of a man who collapsed at a St. George RV park and later died at the hospital early Saturday morning.

Police found Kelly Kump, of Washington City, experiencing medical complications near a trailer at Temple View RV Park at about 4:15 Saturday morning, St. George Police Sgt. Rich Triplett said.

Kump was transported by ambulance to Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, where he died.

“It sounds like he kind of fell against the trailer,” Triplett said. This led to the trailer occupant discovering Kump and subsequently calling police.

“The death is under investigation as being somewhat unusual,” Triplett said,”but no indications that it was a homicide or caused by anyone else.”

This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
