COLORADO CITY, Ariz. — One person was transported to the hospital Monday evening following a collision on Richard Street and Academy Avenue in Colorado City, Arizona
Just before 6 p.m., the driver of a Ford extended passenger van was attempting to make a right-hand turn when the driver of a Jeep Cherokee rear-ended the van, Hildale-Colorado City Fire Chief Kevin Barlow said.
The driver of the Jeep Cherokee didn’t realize that the driver of the Ford van had not turned yet, Barlow said.
There were a total of six people involved in the crash. Five of them were checked out for any injuries at the scene and cleared for release, Barlow said.
One passenger from the Ford van was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George with minor injuries.
The Jeep Cherokee sustained significant damage to the front of the vehicle and had to be towed from the scene.
