ST. GEORGE — Staples stores in St. George and Cedar City are helping educators save more on classroom supplies and get ready for back to school with Teacher Appreciation Week, Aug. 2-8. During the specified week teachers can get an exclusive coupon that provides 40 percent back in Staples teacher rewards on popular items including school supplies, teaching and art supplies as well as cleaning and supplies for the classroom.

Most teachers spend more than $400 of their own money each year to provide supplies and materials for their classrooms.

“To celebrate the important work teachers do and help get them 110 percent ready for the new school year, Staples is offering an exclusive discount during our Teacher Appreciation Week,” said Alison Corcoran, senior vice president of North American stores and online marketing. “We understand the significant role teachers play in students’ lives and are excited to offer this discount.”

Teachers can download their coupon and find information on a customizable Staples brand teacher planner at the Staples website.

The discount applies to in-store purchases only, made Aug. 2-8 and excludes technology, Staples less list and extreme deal offers. The refer-a-fellow-teacher offer extends the savings to other educators.

Staples supports “Think It Up”

Staples is building on its decades-long support of teachers, students and education with a $10 million pledge to support the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s new “Think It Up” initiative.

As a lead donor, Staples has teamed up with worldwide superstar and “Think It Up” ambassador Nick Jonas to help raise awareness of the need to support learning projects in classrooms across the country.

Customers can help support “Think It Up” by donating $1 or more at their local Staples store.

“Through our ‘Staples for Students’ program, we’re thrilled to build on our rich history of supporting education by pledging $10 million to ‘Think It Up,’” Corcoran said. “Now more than ever, we need to support our students and teachers to spark great learning. We’re raising awareness of this new initiative and encouraging people to recognize the importance of education and support success in the classroom.”
