Take 10: From bullied to big stage singer, Eric Dodge talks about fears, dreams

ST. GEORGE — You might know him best by his shiny black performance cowboy boots or his drawl as he takes to the big stage in one of his many country music performances, but Southern Utah native Eric Dodge has a story to tell, and it has nothing, and everything, to do with his singing career.

Dodge is a country music artist who has released eight albums, including his best-selling album “Why Not Today,” which has seen worldwide success. He is an inducted member of the Country Music Association and the National Speakers Association and author of the book “Baby Steps to Music Industry Success.”

His new book, “Why Not Today? Face Your Fears and Chase Your Dreams” offers an inside look at the trials, fears and dreams of Dodge. In it, he shares a powerful message of how he navigated his way through a sometimes difficult life fraught with bullies, depression, weight gain and insecurities to understanding forgiveness, strength, weight loss and hope.

In this episode of “Take 10,” Dodge stopped by the St. George News studio to talk about his new book and to share his message: Why not today?
