ST. GEORGE — Two teenage girls who went missing from the New Beginnings private foster home in Layton on July 1 have reportedly been found Monday.
McKenzey Madill, 13, was the first of the two girls to be found, the Utah Child and Family Services said in a press statement.
Madill was located Monday in Pioneer Park by the Layton Police Department and has been returned to the care of Child and Family Services.
Alice Mpawenimana, 15, was also found safe, the statement said, and has been returned to the care of Child and Family Services.
Authorities said they had been concerned for the girls’ safety because of their ages and the length of time they had been gone.
Family Services thanked the media and the public Monday for their assistance in the matter.
