ST. GEORGE — Layton police and Utah Child and Family Services are asking for the public’s help in locating two teenage girls that went missing on July 1 and were last known to be in the Layton area.
The two girls went missing from a private foster home, New Beginnings, in Layton on July 1 and have not been seen since, Layton Police Sgt. Clint Bobrowski said. They are known to have relatives or contacts in the Salt Lake City and West Valley City area.
The girls are 13-year-old McKenzey Madill and 15-year-old Alice Mpawenimana.
Bobrowski said authorities are concerned for their safety because of the girls’ ages and the length of time they’ve been gone.
McKenzey Madill

- Race: White
- Height: 5 feet, 4 inches
- Weight: 159 pounds
- Eyes: Blue
- Hair: Red, shaved on one side
- Other: McKenzey may be in Salt Lake or West Valley City
Alice Mpawenimana
- Age: 15
- Gender: Female
- Race: African
- Height: 5 feet, 1 inch
- Weight: 155 pounds
- Eyes: Brown
- Hair: Black and brown in a short weave
- Other: Alice is a member of the Burundi refugee community
Mpawenimana is a member of the Burundi refugee community, a group of refugees that moved to Salt Lake City from the African country of Burundi, which is undergoing political and social upheaval and is listed by the Central Intelligence Agency as a country that is a source of children and young women for sex trafficking and forced labor.
