PAROWAN – One person has been taken to the hospital following an officer-involved shooting in Parowan late Thursday night.
At about 10:15 p.m., Parowan City Police officers and officers from other agencies responded to a domestic violence call in Parowan, according to a press release from the City of Parowan. An officer-involved shooting occurred during the investigation into the incident, and a private citizen was injured and transported to an area hospital with a gunshot wound.
“Further details, including names of any other involved parties, including the victim, cannot be confirmed or released at this time,” the press release said. “The Iron County Incident Task Force has been called and is currently investigating this incident.”
