ST. GEORGE – A thunderstorm opened up on St. George late Friday late afternoon, and floodwaters were coursing through the area within minutes.

The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory Friday that was in effect from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Not long after the warning hit, so did the rain.

Many of our wonderful readers braved the storm to snap photos of the action! Enjoy our gallery, and keep updating this post as new photos are received and added. Stay dry out there, St. George!

    seems like the whole town could use better drainage infrastructure… maybe more of that and less carousels, rock parks, and dilapidated old junk theaters…

    Qdrainage is real bad on bluff st. Why doesn,t th city clean th drains, they put in bigger culverts, but I see paper, trash in them all the time, and even today the 4th the drains were plugged up with dirt, wait til next storm maybe this week again..
