ST. GEORGE — An exciting new business partnership between the Boulevard Home Furnishings and Mountainland Kitchen and Bath Studio was sealed Friday morning during a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and, the public is invited to an open house celebration Saturday to experience Mountainland’s first satellite retail showroom.
The wholesale plumbing and irrigation supplier is steeped in Utah history from its beginnings in 1947 as Provo Plumbing and Heating Supply to today, operating in 14 Utah locations, Chief Executive Officer Brent Anderson said.
With the new store, located near the carpet and flooring department in the southwest corner of Boulevard Home Furnishings, 390 N. Mall Drive in St. George, Mountainland now caters to the general public, Anderson said. It is the first retail location for Mountainland that is not attached to one of their own warehouses.
“This is our first offsite branch or location for a showroom,” Anderson said. “It is specific to the public to come in. We are very excited to partner with Boulevard and really be one stop for people that are coming in to design all aspects of their home.”
Walking into the showroom, visitors are greeted with bright lights and a friendly layout featuring plumbing fixtures from cutting-edge shower heads and soap dispensers all the way toilets and stylish bath tubs.
A relatively new product that is gaining in popularity, showroom consultant Caroline Schaerrer said, are complete shower systems.
“You can pretty much have a whole spa event in your shower,” Schaerrer said.
The upscale showroom is designed with the retail customer in mind. While many of the brands they carry can be found in your typical box store location – brands like Moen, American Standard, Delta, Gerber and more – the products from Mountainland are often a higher-quality product; products typically only available to plumbers or suppliers, and come with a better warranty, Marketing Director Tim White said.
Additionally, White said, they work with trusted installers to make sure that the product is properly and professionally placed in the home.
“We stand behind our products and installers,” White said.
One of the reasons executives of Mountainland Supply Company are so excited about the partnership with Boulevard Home Furnishings, Anderson said, is that it will allow customers to take advantage of in-house financing available through the Boulevard, making it both affordable for the customer and a true one-stop destination for home design and remodel.
Tyler Wittwer, Boulevard Home Furnishings marketing director, echoed that sentiment and said that they feel like this partnership will give customers something they have not been able to offer before.
Members of the St. George Chamber of Commerce and the Dixie Sunshiners joined Boulevard Home Furnishings and Mountainland Supply Company employees for a brief ribbon cutting celebration, after which those in attendance were able to tour the showroom.
“We think it’s a great partnership for the two because people know the Boulevard, it’s a staple in the community here in St. George,” Chamber President Gregg McArthur said, “and why not come and find your plumbing and fixtures, you know, here while you are in the location shopping for your furniture as well.”
On Saturday, the public is invited to an open house celebration from noon to 3 p.m. at the new showroom. Free hot dogs and drinks will be served, and there will be an opportunity to win great prizes.
