Father’s Day concert, free at St. George Tabernacle

ST. GEORGE — The annual Father’s Day Concert in the St. George Tabernacle will be presented by the Southwest Symphony Strings Sunday at 7 p.m.

The featured guest vocal artist is Robert Bromley, tenor/baritone, noted for his leading role in the “Savior of the World” at Christmastime in Temple Square, Salt Lake City, as well as leading roles with the St. George Musical Theater.

Talented young violin soloists Ariella Sophia of Reno, Nevada, and the brother-sister duo Alexa and Isaiah Fawson of Iola, Kansas, will also be featured with the string orchestra.

The program strives to honor the historic and modern role of “father” in our ever increasingly complex society by including a variety of popular and classical musical tributes.

The Southwest Symphony Strings is currently a 12-member musical ensemble, which has performed for a large variety of community events since its inception more than 30 years ago.

The public is invited to enjoy this special musical tribute to fathers everywhere. Admission is free.
