3 alleged Southern Utah heroin traffickers arrested in Mesquite

MESQUITE, Nev. – Police arrested three Southern Utah men Tuesday for drug distribution in Mesquite, Nevada, following a lengthy narcotics investigation into the sale and trafficking of heroin.

Mesquite Police Narcotics detectives have been investigating multiple suspects from the Southern Utah area who have been known to traffic heroin to the Mesquite area with the intent to sell, according to a press statement issued by the Mesquite Police Department Thursday.

Detectives arrested three of the suspects around midnight Tuesday.

Ricky Welsh, 59, was arrested and charged with felony sale of a controlled substance (heroin) and felony conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substance Act.

Jason Gubler, 33, was arrested and charged with felony sale of a controlled substance (heroin) and felony conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substance Act.

Christopher Sisneros, 49, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (heroin) with intent to sell, felony sale of a controlled substance (heroin) and felony conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substance Act.

The Police Department offered a stern warning to other would-be drug dealers in the area:

The Mesquite Police Department has zero tolerance for those who choose to use Mesquite as their platform for selling and distributing illegal and dangerous drugs.

The Police Department is asking anyone who sees suspicious activity in their neighborhood, or anyone with information regarding illegal drug activity, to call the Mesquite Police Investigations crime tip line at 702-346-8826.

Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
