WASHINGTON CITY— A crash on Telegraph Road Saturday morning caused major damage to both vehicles and sent one woman to the hospital.
Washington City Police Public Information Officer Ed Kantor said that at about 9 a.m., a red Ford pickup truck with a loaded ATV trailer was pulling out of a subdivision at 1150 E. Telegraph Road when it was struck broadside by a black Mazda Protegé sedan. The violent collision caused the truck to roll over on its right side, leaving the trailer standing upright.
No serious injuries were reported as a result of the accident, Kantor said. One woman in the Mazda was taken by ambulance to Dixie Regional Medical Center for observation.
The Mazda had severe front-end damage and had to be towed from the scene. The Ford had damage to both sides and was also towed. Traffic was affected on Telegraph Road for about 30 minutes.
All passengers were wearing their seat belts, Kantor said , and airbags were visible in the Mazda at the scene.
The driver of the Ford pickup was cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic. Armat Storage, just south of the accident scene, caught the accident on one of its security cameras.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.

Notice the idiot in the car didn’t brake til the very last second. Also appears the car was going at an excessive speed. Yea the truck is technically at fault, but accident could have been easily avoided by the car driver. what a complete idiot in that mazda…
When pulling out and turning left you have to remember that traffic is usually traveling 10 to 20 mph faster than the posted speed limit.
But…but…but 4-wheel drive is supposed to make you invincible!
Especially in wet-road conditions!
Is kind of funny to see a full size pickup get flipped like a piece of trash. Should of took a cab 🙂
