“Attendees will be offered the opportunity to gain awareness of how to communicate from a level and depth that perhaps they have never experienced before,” said Mandeep, Melanie Paulk Abderrahman, founder and lead teacher at Sage Hills. “This ability to authentically communicate begins with yourself  – you gaining awareness of your authentic self and source.  With this experience comes success and opportunity to succeed even in challenging situations and relationships in all aspects of one’s life – career, school, family, health, everything.”

Conscious communication course includes:
  • Meditative and intuitive speaking
  • The art of deep listening
  • Mastery of the fifth chakra (throat center) and applied consciousness
  • Shadow and light:  letting your presence speak
  • Communicating with the infinite:  prayer, grace and the flow of spirit
Mehtab Benton, an internationally renowned yoga teacher and writer with a worldwide student base, has traveled from Austin, Texas, for the course.

“My first visit to the St. George area was last year when I trained new yoga teachers over several weekends in Cedar City,” Benton said. “I’ve traveled to many places around the world teaching, yet I found Southern Utah to be one of the most serene, spiritual and community-friendly areas in all my travels. The land and the people who live here are so welcoming to those who are following a healthy and spiritual lifestyle. I feel very fortunate to be able to spend my time here this month, as well as next year, when I return to teach.”

Benton has practiced and taught Kundalini Yoga since 1974 and attended the first teacher training course personally taught by Yogi Bhajan, the master of Kundalini Yoga. He is the recipient of the International Kundalini Yoga Teacher’s Association Building Communities in Yoga award and was honored as Kundalini Yoga Teacher of the Year. He founded the Yoga Yoga studios in Austin, Texas, with four locations and 100 teachers where he has taught for 17 years.
Benton is a level one and level two Lead Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainer in both the Kundalini and Hatha traditions and has trained several hundred teachers. Benton has taught at the 3HO Summer Solstice Celebration in the U.S., as well as conducting workshops and trainings in Europe, Mexico, Costa Rica and South America.
