Raye’s career has yielded 24 top 10 albums and 16 No. 1 hit songs, according to his website. He is also a philanthropist with an extensive list of organizations he has supported through the years, including: Al-Anon, Boys Town, Childhelp U.S.A., Easter Seals, First Steps, The Life and Hope Network, Make a Difference Day and the Special Olympics.

The crowd gathered outdoors behind the bank to hear Raye perform. For more than an hour, the four-time platinum album star performed fan favorites, according to a press release from Town & Country Bank.

In addition to the free concert, the bank treated attendees to lunch and also invited them indoors to participate in prize drawings and giveaways. Almost all the prizes were provided by local businesses, according to the press release.

Free services were also offered inside the bank during the event courtesy of area businesses, including jewelry and coin appraisal and document shredding.

“The bank has performed so well financially, that we wanted to give something back to our community,” Town & Country Bank CEO Bruce Jensen said, as quoted in the press release. “… The comments I got showed deep felt expression for what they didn’t think a bank would ever do.”

Jensen said he was moved by the number of people who approached him and expressed gratitude for the event.

Town & Country Bank regularly hosts live entertainment featuring local musicians. These concerts take place every Friday at noon in the lobby of the bank, located at 405 E. St. George Blvd.
