WASHINGTON CITY – Officials have released the identity of the woman who died from injuries sustained during a rollover Sunday afternoon on Landfill Road in Washington City.

The woman has been identified as 46-year-old Teresa L. Huff of St. George, Washington City Police Public Information Officer Ed Kantor said.

The rollover occurred around 4:40 p.m. Sunday when a blue Subaru passenger car, occupied by Huff and a man in his 40s, was traveling south on Landfill Road toward the landfill in Washington City before it appeared to have rolled off the roadway after failing to negotiate a turn, Kantor said.

The woman was pronounced dead on arrival at the scene as a result of the rollover, Kantor said, while the man was attended to by medical responders for the injuries he sustained.

An accident reconstruction team is still investigating the scene and there is no word yet as to who was driving, Kantor said Monday, or whether the two were wearing seat belts when the rollover occurred.

Kantor was also unable to confirm whether speed was a factor or whether either of the two were ejected during the rollover. He said he expects those details and any additional information to be released Tuesday.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
