ST. GEORGE — A man was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center Thursday night after he failed to yield to a Toyota Celica at the intersection of Valley View Drive and Sunset Boulevard in St. George.
Just before 8 p.m., a Toyota truck was traveling north on Valley View Drive and attempted to turn west onto Sunset Boulevard. The truck failed to yield to a Toyota Celica that was traveling south on Valley View Drive and collided with it, St. George Police Sgt. Wade Johnson said.
Gold Cross Ambulance transported the driver of the Celica to the hospital; Johnson said he did not know the extent of the man’s injuries. No other injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
Both vehicles were disabled and had to be towed from the scene.
St. George Police officers directed east and westbound traffic along Sunset Boulevard as well as traffic moving through the left turning lane from Sunset Boulevard onto Valley View Drive during cleanup of the accident scene.
The driver of the truck was cited for failure to yield.
The St. George Police Department, St. George Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance responded to the accident scene.
Johnson advised drivers to slow down and wait their turn to avoid such collisions.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.

Should of taken a cab its cheaper than a tow truck
Yep.
OMG, how clever. You made that hilarious taxi comment again!! How do you manage to work that in to so many stories? Do you have a team of writers? Do you purposely say “should of” instead of “should have”, as part of the joke?
Wow maybe if you had a life it wouldn’t matter what the cab joker says. the only joke I see here is the one being played on you.. maybe you can take a cab to a Get A Life seminar… You’re both pathetic
“Get A Life seminar”. <– That was funny. 🙂 However, given your own dubious grasp of basic punctuation rules, I can see how my comment may have touched a nerve. "Hooked on Phonics" simply doesn't work for everyone. (But you DO get credit for the correct usage of "You're". Bravo!)
Should of taken a cab to the Seminar its cheaper
All my comments really touched a nerve didn’t they.? LOL.!
A normal St G driver….Hell on Wheels!
“slow down and wait your turn” is not in the vocabulary of too many St. George drivers who prefer the “get outta my way” school of driving.
Did the driver of the truck yell “YEE HAH!!!” right before he slammed into the car?
If the driver yells ” YEE HAW ” then in Utah that shows intent. so if he’s thinking right he will just say oops.!
I think it was a different four letter word that he said 😉
And it wasn’t “dang.”
Toyota VS Toyota. No REAL vehicles involved. 😉
LOL My husband agrees with you.
NEED TO DRIVE AN IRON PIG TO BE SAFE IN THIS TOWN
I’ve seen the kid drive the Toyota truck before and he is a careless driver so its not a suprise
Guess what all, the original groanattack did not post anything on this story. What does that say?
