Shirley Arlene Spence

(December 21, 1934 – February 15, 2015)

Our beloved mother, grandmother and aunt, Shirley Arlene Spence went to live with her Heavenly Father and her husband, Jack Spence, in Heaven on Sunday, February 15, 2015. She was born December 21, 1934, in San Francisco, California, daughter of Minnette Landers and James Estrada. Shirley married the love of her life, John “Jack” in San Francisco, California on February 22, 1957.

Shirley was very active in her community while she and Jack lived in Pleasanton, California for 22 years and then St. George, Utah, for the last 11 years. Shirley leaves behind many very close friends who lovingly shared their lives with her.

Shirley was converted and baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She whole heartedly shared her love, caring and giving heart and her friendship and has lived as a great example of Christ like love.

Surviving Shirley are her sons, Steven James Spence and Shon Joseph Spence and wife Cindee Spence; granddaughters Minnette, Sarah and Emily Spence; sister in-law Sandra Richardson; nephew Neal Notaro and wife Carol Notaro; niece, Doreen DiCiccio; uncle, John Wood; niece, Chellene Wood mother of Lauren and Emma; and many many friends.
