Larry Ward, 60, encircled in the arms of his eternal companion, Kelley Berrett Callaghan Ward, graduated with honors on February 5, 2015.
He was received by his loving parents, William T. and Juana Angell Ward, who preceded him in death.
Born in Whittier, California, Larry lived in various Southern California locations, Solvang being his favorite. He also spent over four years on the big island of Hawaii, in Pahoa. Some of his youth was spent in what he considered his true home – Rockville, Utah.
Being a talented architectural draftsman, school bus driver, paramedical examiner, nurseryman & farmer were all secondary to what he considered to be his most important role – that of a priesthood holder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His love for the Savior will be an example for many in the years to come, through the book he authored, ‘The Fifth Gospel’.
In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by his son, Thomas, and grandchildren Zack, Ike, & Madison.
- Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, at 1 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St George, Utah.
- A visitation will be held Saturday, from 12-1 p.m. prior to services at the Mortuary.
- Interment will be in the Santa Clara City Cemetery.
Both Larry and Kelley would like to acknowledge and thank Alliance Hospice RN, Ethan Bunker, for his loving, expert, and generous care. Also, special thanks to Dr. Robert & Mary Pearson (and staff), and Dr. Steven Newman.
We are so appreciative of the members of the Kolob Canyon Ward and other New Harmony valley residents for their compassionate & loving service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Missionary Fund – or – take your family out for a special dinner together!
Arrangements have been made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 435-673-2454. Friends and family are invited to sign Larry’s online guestbook at the Spilsbury Mortuary website.
