Beloved eternal companion, Catherine Karren Lund Stucki returned to her Heavenly home January 17, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Washington D.C. August 14, 1940, the youngest child of Yeppa Lund and Catherine Daines Lund. She attended schools in Malad, Rexburg, and Montpelier, Idaho. Karren attended the University of Utah, where she met her loving husband of 54 years at an institute dance. She married and was sealed to David M. Stucki on June 24, 1960, in the Salt Lake Temple.
In 1964, the couple moved to St. George Utah, where they reared their family. She was a homemaker, seamstress, sewing machine repair and sales woman, and teacher, who loved crocheting, crafting, and reading. She also had a love of music, playing multiple instruments, and sang in many choirs. She was a shining example of charity, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of humility, faithfulness, service and love.
She is survived by husband David M. Stucki, their children: Michelle (Ashley) Averett, David L. (Mendy Marks) Stucki, Byron (Carolyn Bess) Stucki, Samuel (Lara Stevenson) Stucki, William (Jamie Gonzales) Stucki, Merritt (Fikirte Mamo) Stucki, Julianna (Kay) Waters, Spencer Stucki, their 33 grandchildren, mother-in-law Maggie Brooks Stucki, her brothers: Howard Lund, Y. Daines (Joyce) Lund, sister’s in law: Lianna Lund. Mary Lynn (Jerry) Tousa, Jeanette Anderegg, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
