ST. GEORGE — Valerie Anderson, who wrote and illustrated “Quiver’s Second Chance,” a book about a cat that was shot with an arrow in 2014 and survived, and Ester West, self-published author and illustrator of “The Temple in the Desert,” will be the featured speakers for the monthly Heritage Writers Guild meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 13 at the St George Library, 88 W. 100 South in St. George.
Anderson adopted the cat featured in “Quiver’s Second Chance” and is now sharing her story with the world in hopes to spread awareness about animal cruelty.
Ester West’s book is an illustrated story about a young pioneer boy who works alongside his father helping to build the St. George Temple of the Mormon church during the late 1800s.
Heritage Writers Guild is the southern chapter of the League of Utah Writers and is open to writers and authors of all genres and skill levels. This informative meeting is free and open to the public.
