Alice Barnett Allen Paris

Paris, Alice Obit2 (1)(July 23, 1925 – December 7, 2014)

Alice Barnett Allen Paris died December 7, 2014, surrounded by her beloved family members. Alice was born July 23, 1925, in Long Beach, California, to Elsie Lane and Edward Barnett. She was married in 1945 to Jack Allen of Bellflower, California.  Living in Long Beach, California, the couple had four children, including LuAnn (deceased) Staples (Mike), John (Jack Jr.), Denny and Laura Lojko (Frank). Through her four children, Alice received her greatest source of joy; more than 40 grandchildren, including great and great great grandchildren.

Alice truly lived a life of adventure and trial, suffering the tragic loss of her husband, Jack, in a work accident in 1966. She later married Andy Paris in 1969. Alice loved to travel, particularly to her favorite destination, Greece, the native country of Andy’s family. Alice again suffered the loss of a companion, Andy, this time to cancer. She remained a widow for over 25 years.

A devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, she blessed the lives of countless people around her. Alice was known for lifting the spirits of those around her. She was always happy to befriend anyone. Alice lived a life of service and touched the lives of many children as well as volunteering to improve children’s reading skills at LaVerkin Elementary for several years.  Alice loved the beach, animals, swimming, hiking, painting, theatre (especially CATS). She will be missed by many; but never forgotten.
