Genevieve Frances Harvey Goodman

genavive(August 4, 1918 – December 1, 2014)

Genevieve (Jenny) passed away December 1, 2014, at the age of 96.  She was born on August 4, 1918, in Kaysville, Utah, to Daniel Orval Harvey and Edna Virginia Qualls Harvey.

Jenny was proceeded in death by her husband, Clarence Kidney Goodman, a son, Dee Goodman, a daughter, Patricia Ann Goodman Wall, (Wayne, deceased) three sisters and one brother. Jenny is survived by a son, Edwin O. Goodman (Cheri), and a sister, Beverly Ann Harvey Allred, three grandsons, and four great grandchildren.

Clarence and Jenny were married on November 28, 1937, in Ogden, Utah, and later this marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on November 26, 1952.  Jenny served faithfully in the LDS Church, first as a Primary teacher, Primary President and as ward choir leader during a 14-year period.

Jenny also worked for the Evanston, Wyoming, school cafeteria program for 26 years during which time she was president of the Wyoming School Cafeteria Association.  The family wishes to thank the Beehive Assisted Living Home in Salem, Utah, and the A-1 Hospice, for their kind and loving care of Jenny.

Funeral Services

  • Graveside services will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, at noon at the Hurricane City Cemetery.
  • A visitation will be held on Friday, 11 a.m., prior to services, at Metcalf Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 North Main Street, Hurricane, Utah.
