WASHINGTON CITY – A mere 16 days after being arrested and charged with drug possession, a man and woman were arrested again Thursday by the Washington County Drug Task Force for drug distribution.
Over the last 90 days, the task force was conducting a narcotics investigation into 24-year-olds Patricia Diane Kerby and Brycen Kay Millett, task force Detective Ty Dove said in his probable cause statement supporting the arrest.
During the course of the investigation, the task force conducted a controlled buy of methamphetamine in Washington County through the use of a confidential informant.
Both Kerby and Millett were arrested and booked into the Washington County Purgatory Correctional Facility on Thursday.
Kerby was arrested and charged with two second-degree felonies for drug distribution. Her bail stands at $20,000.
Millett was arrested and charged with one second-degree felony for drug distribution. His bail stands at $10,000.
Since 2011, Kerby has been amassing a list of criminal charges in Utah, according to Utah state court records. She was convicted of drug possession in 2011, assault and criminal mischief in 2012, and theft in 2014. Millett was arrested in 2012 for drug possession, according to court records, but those charges were dismissed.
Both Kerby and Millett were previously arrested Nov. 4 after task force agents searched Kerby’s residence on the authority of a search warrant and located methamphetamine, heroin, Suboxone, alprazolam, a scale, a container with suspected drug items, including cotton swabs, a lighter, a spoon and syringes, as well as a small amount of heroin.
Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
