News short: Runaway teen found after 24 hours missing

IRON COUNTY — A 17-year-old girl was found in the Bible Springs area west of Cedar City Wednesday afternoon after she ran away from a youth wilderness camp in Pinto Springs Tuesday afternoon.

At approximately 2:25 p.m. Tuesday, the Iron County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a report of a runaway juvenile after a girl left a youth wilderness camp around 2 p.m. Iron County Sheriff’s deputies, Iron County Search and Rescue and Utah Highway Patrol searched for the girl throughout the day and late into the night.

The girl was found in good condition at approximately 2:10 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Bible Springs.
