PINE VALLEY – At approximately 1:50 p.m. Saturday, Life Flight crews were called to airlift a teenager from the scene of an ATV accident in Pine Valley.
Two teenagers on a Sadie Hawkins day date were riding an ATV when the driver of the vehicle lost control and crashed, Washington County Sheriff Sgt. Dave Crouse said.
The 16-year-old boy was airlifted to Dixie Regional Medical Center, listed as having a critical head injury. The 15-year-old girl was transported via ambulance to DRMC and was listed in fair condition. Neither was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, Crouse said.
Life Flight, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Enterprise Ambulance and Pine Valley Fire Department all responded to the accident, which occurred 2 miles north of Pine Valley Highway on Grass Valley Road, the road leading to Pinto.
It is unclear at this time what caused the driver to lose control of the ATV, Crouse said.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.

They should be thankful they weren’t dancing on that date, or something bad might have happened to them. Serious, get rid of the stupid anti-dance ordinance. Maybe kids will enjoy dancing instead of more dangerous activities. Not wearing helmets? That was a dumb decision.
I pray that they recover! How awful!
Sad…Hope everyone that was involved is ok. Prayers your way. .. This should be a lesson learned.. When you send your daughter on dates where they ride 4 Wheelers…. Make sure they have a helmet. Crazy they didn’t have them on to begin with!
Yep 2 teenagers by themselves with a wheeler………. DUH.
