Colin D Wiest, 32, passed away on October 25, 2014 in St George, UT. He was born on September 16, 1982, in St. Louis, MO, to Walter R Wiest and Phyllis Jean Wiest.
When he was two years old, his family moved to Pittsburgh, PA. He was home schooled by his mother. His interests included learning anything about military, weather, astronomy, and geography. He became an expert in all of those subjects. When the family moved to Richmond, VA, he had the opportunity to visit all the historical sites, especially the ones concerning the Civil War and learned everything that he could about the Civil War. The family lived there for two more years and moved to Indiana. He loved deer hunting with his father, bicycling and hiking with his friends and family.
After living in Indiana for four years the family moved back to Missouri. Colin went on to serve an honorable mission in Portugal. When he had been in the field for six months, his mother passed away. He decided to finish his mission. After his mission, he returned to Utah where his family was living at that time. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation from Utah State University. After graduation, he worked as a Wilderness Counselor for troubled kids. For about seven years he volunteered building houses in Tijuana, MX. One of his favorite’s hobbies was to sell corvettes. After he fixed them up, he would sell them for profit. He was preparing to take the GMAT in order to enter the MBA program. He loved anything having to do with the outdoors, he had a golden heart, and he touched too many lives in a positive way. He was the most honest and dependable person that you can ever meet.
