Hard Freeze Warning for Garfield County

GARFIELD COUNTY – The National Weather Service has issued a “Hard Freeze Warning” in effect from midnight Monday to 9 a.m. Tuesday for Garfield County.

Areas affected

The Salt Lake and Tooele Valleys, Castle Country, and the portion of the San Rafael Swell near Green River.

Temperatures

Local overnight minimums in the upper 20s.

Timing

Late Tuesday night through mid-morning Tuesday.

Impacts

Sub-freezing temperatures will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation if left unprotected.
