Parker, a junior, most certainly would be the region MVP after leading her team to an 11-1 record in region play. The Warriors are 22-3 overall and will likely be the favorites in the state tournament, which starts next Wednesday afternoon at Utah Valley University in Orem. Snow Canyon plays at 3:30 p.m. against the Region 11 fourth seed, either Grantsville or Bear River.

Desert Hills will go into state as the second seed after defeating Canyon View in three straight Thursday night, 25-11, 25-15, 25-12. The Thunder finish region play 10-2 and are 17-10 overall. D-Hills plays its first round match Wednesday at 5 p.m. on Court 1 of UVU, also either Grantsville or Bear River (whichever loses a coin toss).

Hurricane, 9-3, will go in as the third seed from Region 9 and will play Stansbury in Wednesday’s first-round match at 5 p.m. on Court 4.

Dixie is also in with a 5-7 region record and will play Tooele Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. on Court 3.
