BEAVER COUNTY – One man was killed in a one-car accident that occurred on Interstate 15 near mile marker 118 in Beaver County Wednesday night.
At 8:13 p.m., Edward Thibaudeau, 74, of Elk Ridge, Utah, was traveling back from Las Vegas with a friend when he apparently fell asleep and drifted off the road, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Dave Bairett said. Thibaudeau overcorrected, flipping his Ford F-250 and causing it to roll. Thibaudeau was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
The passenger riding in the vehicle with Thibaudeau was transported to the hospital in serious condition, Bairett said.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
