ST. GEORGE — The St. George Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man involved in the attempted theft of an ATM machine at the Dixie Center Wednesday.
At about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, a man broke into the Dixie Center, located at 1835 S. Convention Center Drive in St. George, and attempted to steal the ATM machine in the lobby using a forklift. The suspect fled the Dixie Center after an employee entered the lobby and witnessed the attempted theft.
There was significant damage to the floor around the ATM, according to a statement from the St. George Police Department. It is not yet known how the man entered the Dixie Center, as there were no signs of forced entry.
SGPD released images of the suspect Thursday through the department’s Facebook page. Anyone with information about the man or the incident is urged to contact police.
“The St. George Police Department has solved cases in the past with the assistance of the public and we are grateful for the assistance the public provides in keeping our community safe,” the Facebook post said.
Along with the photos, video surveillance of the suspect has also been released and can be viewed on the St. George Police Department’s Facebook page.
Those with information regarding this incident should contact the St. George Police Department at 435-627-4300.

I would check for prints in the concession stand!
would you? you should be a detective. You would have solved the case by now. Other than you missed one very small detail. He is wearing gloves!!!!!!!! LOL.
No forced entry makes me think that the person may have had keys. Possibly a former employee that had extra copies of issued keys.
Or somebody forgot to lock the doors. Or he may have propped a door open earlier. Just saying….
There’s more to this story than just the attempt to steal the ATM. this guy went through employee lockers and offices at the Dixie Center and stole several thousand dollars in cash also. Apparently there are no surveillance cameras outside to see what he drove away in either. There was a SWAT team decked out in full tactical gear including battle rifles responded to the burglary call along w regular SGPD officers. How did he manage to get in without triggering an alarm?
are those Crocs?
Beware the SCUM amongst you!
I’m surprised they didn’t need a forklift to get HIM out of there. What a fatty!
That guy cuts my lawn. Nice guy!
LOL, is he a plump little gnome?
Hey mom!! is that a guy on a forklift with a ATM crossing the street? didn’t think so, I swear I need to get my eyes checked.
