ST. GEORGE – A former violin teacher who taught at a charter school pleaded not guilty Wednesday to multiple counts of child sex abuse.
Lynn Richard Lundstrom, 64, pleaded not guilty to four first-degree felony counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child before Judge Eric Ludlow in 5th District Court Wednesday morning.
The defense asked for a possible five-day trial along with a review before hand and set within the next 60 days. Ludlow scheduled the review for Dec. 9.
Lundstrom was arrested in Oct. 2012 following an investigation into claims that he inappropriately touched students during violin classes at the Valley Academy Charter School in Hurricane.
According to court documents, the mother of a 10-year-old girl contacted the Hurricane City Police Department after her daughter told her Lundstrom had allegedly groped her thighs and buttocks during violin practice. The grandmother of another 10-year-old girl also told police a similar story.
The two girls, plus two other children from the violin class, were interviewed by police and they all shared similar experiences.
Police then interviewed Lundstrom who initially denied the allegations, then eventually admitted to them, according to court documents.
Lundstrom allegedly told investigators his “cheerleading had gone too far and admitted it had crossed the line.”

I wonder how many years this old goat has been sexually abusing kids and gotten away with it. Sick.
From what I’ve been hearing lately, there have been a lot of goats getting molested in the area. What is in the freaking water here??
He’s a music teacher and a kiddy fiddler? humm…
Well, maybe people got accustomed to some old … groping and molesting kids and thought they should have the same entitlement.
Ed. ellipsis.
Wow can you imagine what the police would of done to him if he was playing barney music and the kids were dancing to it…… Your talking SWAT knocking down the door
What about innocent until proven guilty. Kids lie all the time about teachers…jacked up system if you ask me.
