ST. GEORGE — A St. George woman was arrested at a city park Sunday after she was discovered to be in possession of heroin.
Officer Jeremy Needles, of the St. George Police Department, responded to Forest Park in St. George at about 6 p.m. Sunday after receiving reports that two people were possibly using drugs in a park bathroom, Needles said in a probable cause statement supporting the arrest.
While investigating at the park, Needles and a fellow officer discovered a man and woman, matching the description provided by the tipster, inside a locked bathroom. One of the occupants was identified as Sasha Jones, of St. George.
Jones informed the officers that she and the man had driven to the park in her truck, according to the statement. While investigating the truck, officers could see a small bag containing suspected drug paraphernalia sitting in plain view on the passenger seat. Upon further inspection of the vehicle, officers also discovered a bent spoon covered in a black tar-like substance on the floor along with a cotton ball.
The bag, spoon and cotton ball were collected as evidence, Needles said in the statement.
After Jones was given her Miranda warning, she admitted to using heroin within the past couple of hours and also stated the suspected drug paraphernalia items in the vehicle belonged to her.
It was determined the man found with Jones was not at fault and had no involvement in the drug activity, Officer Derek Lewis, of the St. George Police Department, said. The man was not arrested.
Jones was arrested for possession of heroin in a drug-free zone, a second-degree felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.
Jones was booked into the Washington County Purgatory Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail. She has since posted bail and been released from custody, according to bookings information from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

Depending on whether she was out of her normal routine, or not, I would recommend a #Funraiser as well as a possible worthiness interview with her ward’s Bishop.
Indeed! If only she had gone to the gym that day instead!
Or if instead she had attended the regular group baby latch-on gathering.

So what were they doing in a locked public restroom? I’m speculating prostitution.
The good book says, bobber and people like him are going to hell, as they belittle religion. My people have lived many years under red mountain. Never have I witnessed such u respect for mankind. The good book says to turn the other cheek, Bobber says I’ve already rolled over and the devil has split my cheeks. Well according to some individuals that live in Adobe, insulting, racist style homes, you have the right bobbers to spit your cheeks and be married. When my elders teach us and we don’t follow we are thought to be on the trail of hell to kell Hyenta.
What?!
Just another druggie in the hood. Wake up Middelton before one of your children picks up one of the many dirty syringes these hypes toss on the ground after using. Open your eyes look around you and see what is going on. Do you even know or care how many drug bust have happened in our neighbor this last year? It can no longer be ignored it is a problem we have to deal with now. Before these sick psychos start introducing our children to the poison they sell.
