ST. GEORGE — Dixie State University’s theme for its 2014 Homecoming Week is “There’s No Place Like Dixie,” with a number of events and activities the campus and all community members are welcome to attend.
One of the many Dixie Homecoming traditions is the annual parade, which will be held on Oct. 25. Lineup for the parade begins at 9 a.m., while the parade itself will start at 10 a.m. The 2014 Homecoming Parade will follow a new route, traveling west on Tabernacle Street beginning on 900 East, and finishing on Main Street.
Other activities on Oct. 25 include the annual DSU Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the St. George Tabernacle, the free DSU Tailgate Party at the Wade Alumni House and the DSU Homecoming football game vs. Menlo College at Hansen Stadium.
The 2013 DSU Homecoming Parade featured more than 85 entries and over 2,000 spectators.
There is no charge to place an entry into the 2014 DSU Homecoming Parade. Individuals, businesses, or civic organizations wishing to place entries in the parade are asked to contact Deb Millet at telephone 435-652-7514 or by email. Businesses and other organizations can sign up online at Dixie Homecoming Parade website.
