ST. GEORGE – Two vehicles had to be towed from the scene Thursday afternoon after a driver ran a stop sign and collided with another vehicle, rolling it on its side.
At approximately 3 p.m., a white Toyota Corolla was traveling south on 100 West in St. George, approaching the 600 South intersection. At the same time, a green truck driven by a juvenile male was traveling west on 600 South toward the same intersection.
“Witnesses say that the female driving the white Corolla just blew right through the stop sign,” St. George Police Sgt. Dave Williams said.
The juvenile driving the truck saw the Corolla coming and tried to swerve, Williams said, but the Corolla hit the truck on the passenger side rear tire and caused the truck to roll onto its side.
The Corolla sustained heavy front end damage as a result of the accident, Williams said. Two wreckers were called to the scene and both vehicles had to be towed. Nobody was transported to the hospital as a result of the accident.
“The driver of the Corolla was cited for failure to stop at the stop sign,” Williams said.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.

St George has real problem of stop signs that seem to disappear randomly. The city needs to investigate this phenomenon
Bahahaha! That’s great! Thanks for the laugh, you made my morning. 🙂
What is wrong with folks these days. Always in a hurry and not paying attention.
The problem is known as TALKING ON A CELL PHONE WHILE DRIVING
DWS is the reason. Driving While Stupid.
You are right on. Some people around here just do not have enough brain cells in their head to be operating a motor vehicle.
They need to mark the streets in plain white on the asphalt at every stop like other towns do the ones by the temple in that whole area some are behind trees u would not no if there’s a stop or not if u didn’t live in this town
Why was the Dixie Chick in such a hurry to get somewhere? Zumba? Yoga? Latch On meeting? And what’s with these women running stop signs around here? Do they think they’re exempt from them? Impressive the Toyota took out a truck though.
