Doppler Radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain just north of Hildale at 3:45 p.m. Runoff from these thunderstorms will cause flooding of normally dry washes and low water crossings in the Hildale area.

Precautionary / Preparedness actions:

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

“Get everybody. Don’t try to save personal belongings or vehicles,” Deputy Darrell Cashin, Search and Rescue Commander with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, said to St. George News earlier this year as a watchword for those confronting a flash flood.

A flash flood can happen with little or no warning and individuals may only have seconds to act before it’s too late.

After getting to higher ground, it is important for individuals to remain where they are until either the waters have receded to a safe depth or rescue has arrived.

When you think it’s safe, wait an hour longer

“Let it recede, let it pass,” Cashin said. “When you think it’s safe, wait an hour longer.”

Turn around, don’t drown

That would be something if the polygamist colony was washed away by a giant flood…

They would just establish root somewhere else like the invasive Tamerisk. Hoowever, they might not have the likes of Shurtleff in government.

      You are UNCOUTH!!
Did your mother ever teach you to never wish harm on others cause it has a way of coming back around and biting you.? You could very well be taken out by a flood before the people in Hildale ever will be. So don’t mess around with being flippant.

Didn’t wish harm, but if it happened it could be interpreted as a sign, so don’t ruffle your feathers too much.
