ST. GEORGE — The Panthers flexed their offensive muscles, racking up more than 600 yards of offense in the rout of the rival Warriors.

Kody Wilstead, with BYU coaches in attendance, passed for 388 yards and five touchdowns with no interceptions. Wilstead, who has verbally committed to play for the Cougars after he serves an LDS mission, also ran for 48 yards.

Wilstead’s favorite target was Bladen Hosner, who caught six passes for 169 yards and three TDs. One of the TDs was on a 66-yard catch and run in which he broke several tackles, while another was on a spectacular catch at the back of the end zone on a 30-yard pass.

PV led 38-0 late in the first half. A turnover led to an SC score just before half. The Warriors closed to within 45-28 in the fourth quarter before two Wilstead to Hosner TDs. Pano Tiatia rushed for 164 yards for PV, while Snow Canyon got 196 passing yards from Jake Frei.

PV, 3-1 overall and 1-0 in region, plays at Dixie next Friday. SC, 2-2 and 0-1, has a region bye and plays a non-league game vs. Ruben S. Ayala from California.

A CLASSLESS display of football by PV and their coaching staff. Airing out the ball for two more touchdowns with a large lead and less than 3 minutes left in the game. PV coaches you should be ashamed of yourselves. Padding stats is poor sportsmanship!! Hope someone returns the favor to you!!

Anytime you can lay a whooping on SC in any sport, I say pour it on ! They would do the same thing, and have before in years past.

Great job P. V NOTHING CLASSLESS about winning. Snow Canyon would have done the same sounds like Tom is mad his team didn’t pull thru. P. V is the team to beat next to Desert Hills this year!! Coming from a Desert Hills fan!! Oh wait Tom that makes Desert Hills classless too we killed Cedar!!# ; (

Great job Pine View. Play hard All 4 quarters and leave it on the field. Never apologize for being prepared and winning. Tom there are no entitlements in football. Try bowling if you are looking for a sport with score subsidy.

A win against Snow Canyon is a win for the community!!!! Way to go PV.

The score could have been 59 – 0 it wouldn’t have made any difference to me. PV is a great team and deserve the W. And no Tori, DH is not classless in their blow out of Cedar. They played hard and deserved the win. They went up 31-0 just like PV did on SC. Now look at their ending score. That’s the difference! PV is all about stats and padding stats. There’s no secret there. When you’re up by 3 scores, with the ball in the last three minutes of the game, you don’t air it out for 40+ yard touchdown passes! Let your star running backs take the rock and finish the game. Run out the clock. That’s winning with class!!!

If you give the rock to the running backs then you can’t show off your star quarterback’s arm. They gave the people what they came to see. It’s too bad SC can’t defend that but it is what it is.

Yawn, just waiting for the inevitable PV choke job
